Red Fort in Agra, that's what I call a fort.

after  the Taj we went to Agra fort - Red fort and now that's what I call a fort...
it's big and impressive
must have been difficult to try and get in....
it was built between 1565-1573 by Akbar
want to join me for a quick tour ?

from the walls they could through oil and other not so nice things on the enemies

in front of the building you can see one big bathtub !
and it really was a tub...but only for Sha Jaha....or his grandfather...can't remember..

view from one of the small "windows"

magical view in the fog....

from inside the "harem"....the womens place....
they weren't allowed to walk outside ever....

marble window..

incredible work....and see the outer  protective wall built around....

the women could at least see the Taj from the palace...

the audience hall....

if you want to see a fort this is it....

see the woman carrying the water...on the head....

don't know how thick this wall is but as a fort it worked
only Shah Jahan's sons managed to get in...
interested in history ?
you can find plenty to read on line

friday again...
be sure to have a nice one
we will...
our best friends arrived in the middle of Diwali
