A day filled with Japanese calligraphy at Kunskapsskolan

I'm just saying wow….what a fun day I've had….a day filled with japanese calligraphy, japanese words and lots of smiling faces. It was so much fun to see the japanese mom's teaching the kids about calligraphy…all the students really seemed to enjoy themselves and thought it was fun…many proud artists showing of their work at the end…so here goes…a medley of pictures from throughout the day
hang on…there's plenty to see…

the students where calling the teachers  sensei the whole session..

everybody knew about this guy !

famous guys from Japan but what they wanted us to know was about Fire-Water-Earth and Sky

first a demonstration on how to do it….then everybody could try as many times as they wanted on the old newspapers…good way to recycle paper…..

since it was the older kids they also got to know about the black and white painting
and also try it …if they wanted to...

lots of technique and training….how to hold the brush….how to swipe it…..slowly…

I saw so many concentrated faces today…

and they got to knew so much about the signs …..if you add this little dot it means something else…..

the kids also spoke Japanese today…..for instance Sayonara….

tree becomes bush becomes forest…..

proud artists...

hmmmm…….which one should I pick for the display ?

beautiful

it's so nice to see all the artwork on display…..

Japanese ladies in their beautiful kimonos …..thank you so much ladies for everything you've put into this week !
I can tell that it shows how appreciated it has been so far…..and the week is not over….
for instance tomorrow and on friday I know that the small kids are doing origami …..
I know where I'll be on friday.
Hope you've enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed spending the day with your beautiful kids and learning about calligraphy.
